VirtualDAC (Virtual Data Access Components)

11.4.4

A comprehensive component designed for creating in-memory data storage spaces for applications developed in RAD Studio, Delphi, C++Builder or Lazarus

Formerly known as VirtualTable, VirtualDAC is a simple to use, cross-platform software component that can be integrated with development applications such as RAD Studio, Delphi, C++ Builder, Lazarus and Free Pascal.
It includes features from TDataSet and can be used on several operating systems: Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux or FreeBSD.
The tool provides support for the FireMonkey platform and is used in application development, due to its capabilities to create visually appealing interfaces.
Moreover, it is easy to use, seamlessly integrates with the development programs and allows you to control the addition or removal of structures.
VirtualDAC allows you to insert blank fields into applications, as well as configure their types or load existing templates from other files. By importing existing files, the virtual table object is automatically initialized with the pre-defined settings/data.
The tool allows you to save the data you entered and worked with, at design-time to specific files, in the .DFM format. Alternatively, if you wish, you can export the recorded data in a specific document, at run-time.
This action is facilitated by the various design-time editors offered by the software component.  These editors can provide you with convenient interface options and offer advanced features for creating fields in the tool . Moreover, it also offers support for importing data and filling in the created fields, during design-time.
The component is highly capable and allows you to create new fields or edit existing ones, in a large variety of programs. Not only can it be deployed on several operating systems, but it supports both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. Moreover, the app can capable of locating records and retrieving them, as well as create custom filters for them.
It allows you to sort local information based on the field name or add/remove rows and columns to existing tables. Additionally, it supports storing row data and strings.
VirtualTable’s versatility makes it a reliable and highly useful component, which allows you to easily add/edit elements in your application.
