The application is very easy to use, as you just have to browse for the desired location, be it a drive or a directory, and start the analysis. The application proceeds to scanning folders and sub-folders, displaying details regarding the size or each directory with and without including sub-directories, as well as the corresponding number of files. The results can be saved locally and loaded whenever necessary.

Displays statistics, disk storage maps, and storage distribution charts

There are a few additional statistics you can generate with View Free Disk Space. The lower panel comprises a drop-down list that allows you to choose between multiple options. As such, you can view the structure of the selected folder or explore the top 100 largest files in it. Alternatively, you can choose to sort the data by file extension, size range, or time range.
To make things clearer and provide an overview of the storage space distribution, the application also shows a chart where the data you see in the tables are graphically represented either with a bar chart or a pie chart. And talking about visual representations, View Free Disk Space can also display the disk storage map of the location in question.
All the data displayed by View Free Disk Space can be easily exported to a local file as a future reference. The application provides support for text, CSV, or HTML documents, as well as PNG images.
