When being paid by the hour it's important to keep track of the time spent working on a project. An application such as Portable Kapow Punch Clock can carry out this task for you without too much trouble.
Just like its name suggests, the application works just like a punch clock, recording the working time for each ongoing task.
There is a panel dedicated to storing all the projects, and each of these projects can be assigned one or more tasks. The tasks are added to the list as you time them. To keep everything organized, you are advised to give relevant names to both the projects and the tasks.
Portable Kapow Punch Clock displays the date, the starting and the ending time, the name of the task, and the number of hours spent working on them. For assignments that take a significantly longer amount of time, you can add columns to show the daily, weekly, and monthly amount of time.
You can also keep track of the hours you spent working since last billing your client. In this case, the totals calculated by the application should reveal the work you performed after the last billed work session.

Although it comes with various advantages and it is easy to use, its interface is quite outdated and would need an overhaul to match the modern trends
