Open GApps

Android users don’t always get the latest Google packages, and it can take a long time until they receive certain updates. On the other hand, Google packages are updated all the time, so it can be a little bit frustrating to see that there is a new version out there for a particular package and you’re not getting it.
 
This is where the Open GApps application comes into play. It allows users to flash this particular application to your version of Android and switch the update source for the Google packages to the OpenGApps.org. The pre-built OpenGApps.org packages are updated every night, so you will always have the latest versions installed.
 
As you can imagine, everything that involves flashing the operating system also requires root access, so you will need to have that as well. Also, you don’t have to worry about choosing the right packages for you because Open GApps will do that for you.
