Some Android device makers figured out that it’s nice to be able to wake up a phone by tapping on the screen, but this feature is missing the Android stock version and for many other hardware manufacturers. Fortunately, this kind of feature can be added with just an app.
 
This is where KnockOn comes into play. It’s an app that allows users to wake up their devices by tapping on the screen. Surprisingly, this is more difficult than you might think because the developers need to take into account a number of situations. For example, it’s possible that the user has the fingerprint or PIN protection enabled, which complicates matters.
 
The app has some options that helps users get passed some of the problems that might appear with the customizations implemented by some hardware makers, such as Samsung or HTC.
