VMC Reader Portable enables you to easily open CHM help files, as well as VMC multimedia libraries and explore their contents. It allows you to view the tree structure and open the nodes in the designated fields, play media content and open URLs. Moreover, you can easily browse any multimedia help system.

Simple to use CHM Reader

VMC Reader Portable can easily open CHM help files, as well as VMC documents and explore their contents. The integrated multimedia player can render the media files embedded into VMC files, especially videos, while the audio streams can be played in the background.
The program’s interface is split into several areas, each designed to properly display a particular type of file. The column on the left displays the node structure of the CHM or VMC file, which you can expand and use to quickly browse through their contents. You may also view the file’s index, if available and use the search engine to find titles of pieces of text.

Project property viewer and editor

VMC Reader Portable can display the properties of the currently opened file, namely the title, summary, author, company, version, time of creation and license. The central area is designed to display the currently selected file, as well as the general menu. Moreover, the application includes an Internet browser, designed to open embedded URLs or other websites.
The program features a timer tool and it can notify you when the countdown is finished. You may modify the SVM media buffer, view the MD5 hash of the selected files or enable/disable the background music.

Convenient portable application

VMC Reader Portable does not require installation and can be copied in any folder on your computer, including on removable drives. It does not create registry entries, which is why the file associations are not automatically created. However, you can easily open both CHM and VCM documents from the designated menu in the application.
