Universal Accounting requires no further explanation regarding its name. This tool can serve as financial management support for big or small businesses, any commercial enterprise, craft, and even for private individuals who wish to centralize and better control their income, investments, taxes, and more.
Universal Accounting sports the popular ISO 20022 standard — a methodology put together to aid in financial business tasks, transactions, communications, etc. Furthermore, files for Credit Transfer, Payment status, and "Camt" should also be included, allowing for automatic management of vacant positions for UA's vendors.
Additionally, the program comes with a merchandise management system, great for any retail or commercial business. For orders, offers, deliveries, notes, or invoices, a large module is put in place to deal with all those tasks.
The interface doesn't look like a deal-breaker. You can access balance sheets, profit/loss statistics, booking entries, managing accounts, setup cost reminders, and many more. However, it seems that the app works by loading a database first, so you have to keep in mind that a database must be created, mainly with Firebird, as the archive contains its installation kit.
To conclude, Universal Accounting can be a business or an individual financial management solution. Despite its kind of old-looking UI, the app seems to be overflowing with features and functions helpful for completing all accounting-related tasks.
