A neat and easy-to-use application that allows one to split files into multiple parts and join them back together with little to no effort

Splitting files, especially large ones could be a good idea if you are looking to either protect your data from others or simply facilitate storage or transfer. No matter the reason you're looking to separate items, a file splitter is all you need for the job. There are tons of such applications on the Web, but we'll only focus on Split Files, a lightweight tool that lets you split, and also join files in a quick and simple way.

Split files by size or number of parts

Splitting files can be done in two separate ways. You either go with the default method of splitting files by size, in which case you'll have to input the file size for each segment, in particular, be that Bt, Kb, Mb, or GB; or go with the amount methods, which lets you determine how many parts a file will be split into. Obviously, the easiest method would be the second one, as you only need to specify the number of parts you need for your item, letting the tool assigning the actual size of each individual part.
After deciding on the splitting method you should consider the available checkboxes. Delete the original file after splitting if that is what you want, compress each part or create a bat file for instant joining of the parts.

Joining the files

Use the Join tab to undo the splitting. One way to do it is to apply the same process, as the splitting required, and that's by loading the parts back in. The other way goes about it, the most straightforward one, is to create a BAT file on the splitting tab and use that to instantly join the parts.
In conclusion, Split Files is one way to secure your files by rendering them unreadable/unviewable by splitting them into multiple parts. For larger files, splitting might facilitate storage and transport. However, no matter for what reason you're looking to split files, this tool can be of help.
