PSIsniff

2.1.1

A user-friendly and efficient application that can scan your computer for network adapters and analyze the connections in your LAN

Note: Some antimalware applications might trigger alerts for PSIsniff. However, our tests have shown that these are actually false positives, so it's safe to download and install the tool.
PSIsniff is a useful and reliable piece of software that was developed to function as a network sniffer which provides you with a visual representation of all the data transfers taking place through a specific adapter.

Necessary prerequisites

The program does not require to be installed on your system in order to function properly, but it does have a series of requirements, without which it is not able to do its job.
As such, make sure you have .NET Framework and Wireshark installed on your computer, before you start PSIsniff, otherwise it will not run.

Visualize incoming and outgoing data packets

Subsequent to launching the utility, it will immediately scan your system and determine the existing network adapters, so you can choose the one that you want to work with, if several are available.
When there is no action in your network, meaning there are no incoming or outgoing data packets, PSIsniff will not display much. However, simply accessing a website, for instance, will cause the tool to indicate incoming or outgoing transfers, as well as the means of doing so (the browser or any other program involved).
The ‘Config’ button in the window corresponding to the selected adapter allows you to choose which elements to display, for instance ‘Protocols’, ‘Ports for TCP / UDP Packets’, ‘TCP Flags’, and others.
Clicking on the ‘View’ button will launch Wireshark, that will provide you with more detailed information about the current task. Moreover, from the context menu of each connection, you can apply filters to specific hosts or ports.

A tool for viewing data transfers in a more accessible manner

To conclude, PSIsniff is an interesting and simple to handle application whose main purpose resides in offering you a graphic representation of the data transfers occurring through your network adapter.
