Output Watermark

2.1.0.5

A smart application that allows you to add different types of watermarks to your printouts in order to mark or secure your work

Output Watermark comes as a solution for users who want to apply watermarks to their printouts. Text, images and even QR codes can be used as watermarks in order to secure or protect the documents you are going to print.

Supported printing environments

First of all, Output Watermark is useful as a marking method for your printed items. For example, if you have to print out official documents that require the company’s logo or other information like output date, document name, printer name or even the user’s name – all can be applied as watermarks.
Furthermore, the app can print directly to PDF and XPS (XML Paper Specification), but you cannot use it to output in certain applications like Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Store Apps.

Set up the watermark models

After installing the app and going through with the introduction, you can start to customize the watermark models by accessing the Watermark Policy. From there, a step-by-step menu guides you through all the sub-menus.
There are three types of supported watermarks – text, image and QR codes. The first two instances allow up to four different models that can be cycled between, to meet your requirements. The QR tab is a bit more complicated, in that you have to set it up every time if the code is changed.

Access the app by providing the password

The app will ask you to create an account in order to access it, but if you send it to the systray, you’ll have to re-enter the password. A useful security measure if you are sharing your PC, but it gets in the way if you are the only user.

To sum it up

Output Watermark is a useful application for those who need to protect or mark their printout with watermarks that can be added as images, text walls or QR codes. Setting up the models is fairly simple, taking into consideration that the UI guides your hand.
