Video productions these days (and also in the past), benefited from the constant increase in both the abundance and corresponding capabilities of media processing suites, such as the test-pieces offered by companies like Adobe for instance. However, all this diversity often times comes at the expense of harder-to-reach interoperability, due to a large number of proprietary formats and media types that arise.
Having the above as its hypothesis, MediaReactor Workstation will provide users with a centralized solution that relies on plugins for bridging the gap that might arise when running professional video productions. Be it that we’re talking about different hardware in terms of cameras, or software, in terms of the means used for processing the resulting data.
Through a single plugin package, it offers access to a wide range of formats, therefore allowing users to achieve interoperability in scenarios where proprietary formats and media types might hinder data migration.
To complement the plugin package, MediaReactor Workstation also comes with support for a multitude of codecs, making content directly compatible with most major editing software. Last but not least, users will be able to rely on edit-while-recording capabilities if they link the pack with a compatible live event recorder.
