IP-SoftPhone

12.6.2

Perform telephone calls straight from your desktop setup, with this CTI solution that offers conference switching and supports TAPI protocols

Implementing telephony into a PC network, regardless of the actual intended purpose, medium and application can offer a wide range of advantages, especially when compared to classic telephony framework. However, with those advantages, come an array of challenges, with varying degrees, and this is where dedicated solutions, such as IP-SoftPhone can come into play.
IP-SoftPhone was created for offering users a telephony software that combines several features in order to provide a tool that allows telephone calls to be performed directly from their desktops, especially when relying on a dedicated IP-telephone system, such as FRITZ!, Box, or a SIP-provider.
The application offers functions for transitioning to conferencing, as well as connection to other, TAPI-based programs on offer from the developer. Regarding the appearance of the interface, users can switch between three distinct modes, by right-clicking directly on the interface and selecting between a dark, light and classic skin.
When performing the installation process, users will be prompted for one of the prerequisites, which is the TAPI driver, and unless it is already installed on their machines, they can select it from the included installation wizard, for deployment before the installation of the actual telephony software component.
