GiMeSpace Free Edition

1.2.2.36

Extend your desktop without limits by turning to this lightweight application that can be operated by a broad range of computer users

Maximizing the available workspace is quite a difficult job if you have a small monitor, but GiMeSpace Free Edition lends users a hand in this regard.
The application extends the desktop and provides additional working space that can be easily accessed just by moving the mouse cursor to the left or right edge of the screen.
Once installed and launched, GiMeSpace Free Edition places an icon in the Windows System Tray and while the app seems a very basic piece of software, there are a few things you should know.
First of all, in case you're “extending” the desktop space too much and you lose some of the windows, simply right-click the Tray icon and hit the “Collect windows” buttons to bring all of them back on the screen.
Second of all, make sure you don't press the “Scroll” button on your keyboard. This particular key disables the app, so it's also a very fast way to avoid extending the desktop while moving the mouse cursor to the edges of the screen.
There are no secondary configuration options and GiMeSpace Free Edition is far from becoming a resource hog. It quietly stays in the Tray and requires just minimal user input, as most of the features are performed automatically. The desktop is extended as you move the mouse cursor to the screen edges, so no other commands are necessary.
All things being said, GiMeSpace Free Edition is a handy product that could very well become a top app in this particular software category with just a few feature updates. It works flawlessly on all Windows versions and it requires just minimum computer skills.
