FRSWiggle

1.1.0

Temporarily prevent the screensaver from running, the display from turning off and the PC from sleeping with the help of this tool

In addition to beautifying the display, screensavers are useful for fixing dead pixels and for blocking the view of people to your projects, thus protecting your privacy. Although they are sometimes annoying, becoming active while you're still doing something on your PC, it's a good idea to schedule a screensaver to be automatically triggered on user inactivity.
Another solution is to schedule the PC to enter sleep mode or the monitor to turn off after the computer has been idle for some time. This is recommended for not only keeping your work private but also for saving power.

Temporarily disable the screensaver and display turnoff mode with ease

However, it's a bit tedious to temporarily disable these settings when you actually need quick access to your PC. Instead, you can use FRSWiggle. It's a tool that keeps the screensaver and monitor sleeping mode disabled while it's running, making sure to restore them to their initial settings on exit.
The application gets installed rapidly, without asking for special attention during setup. Afterward, it creates a desktop shortcut to provide you with quick access to its features.

Keep the app running to prevent the PC from sleeping

Double-clicking the .exe brings up a small window on the screen with explanations: while the tool is running, the screensaver will not start and the monitor will not turn off. It even reveals the time of inactivity before that particular action would normally take place.
There no kind of configuration options involved since FRSWiggle autodetects system settings and blocks the screensaver activity as soon as it's launched. It cannot be sent to the systray to get it out of your hair but you can at least minimize it to the taskbar. As soon as you exit the app, all settings will be restored to normal.

Restores default settings on exit automatically

We've noticed a small problem that doesn't actually affect the app's functionality. The message shown in the main window does not change if the screensaver's time of inactivity is modified after already installing FRSWiggle. Reinstalling the program doesn't seem to fix this either, although it still activates its blocking mode.
