Flac Tag Library

2.0.26.58

FLAC tagging library for Delphi development, featuring tutorials with title, artist, album, genre, date, track, disc number, comment and cover art tags

Flac Tag Library can be implemented into Delphi-based software applications to be able to read, set and edit tags in FLAC audio tracks. It's compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS and Android devices, as well as Lazarus and Free Pascal.
In addition to the Delphi component files, the downloaded package includes a tutorial for C++ Builder as well as two binaries with tutorials for x86 and x64 Windows.
Wrapped in a standard interface, the tutorial has buttons for browsing the hard drive to find and add the target audio track for setting its tags. Besides .flac, the tool can open files with .flc, .fla or .oga (OGG FLAC) format.
If the FLAC track already has tags, they can be loaded to view and modify them: title, artist, album, genre, date, track, disc and comment. Otherwise, they can be completely removed. Cover art can be loaded from a local file, as long as it has the JPG format since it's the only one supported by the program.
It's not necessary to press special buttons to commit changes since they are automatically applied. Both ID3v1 and APE tags are supported, together with Full Unicode for writing tags. No external dependencies are involved since the project is entirely made in Delphi.
Note: Flac Tag Library is based on an open-source class, but many new features were added (specially full support for managing cover arts). You can use the cover art managing functions for free programs / projects but for shareware or commercial programs you need to purchase a license.
