FindMirc

7.13.2.490

Find Boot, File, DOS, IRC, VBS, Batch viruses, worms, trojans or backdoor malware on your system using this heuristic scanner app

Unlike the standard signature-based system available with most antivirus solutions on the market, heuristic scanning is a technique that enables you to discover mutations or variations of known malware as well as new ones. The idea behind the process is to thoroughly analyze the construction of the file and compare these attributes with those specific to viruses.
FindMirc is a small, but reliable tool employs the heuristic analysis technique to identify a wide variety of malware lurking in your system. Focusing on suspicious command sequences or abnormal instructions, the program can detect keyloggers, JavaScript, backdoor, visual basic scripts, Trojans or WBT or CS infectors, just to name a few.
The program can be run with some parameters, as you can check out from the options. For instance, you can use the – cde command to show various change directory errors, particularly in the folders where the access is denied. Another noteworthy parameter is using a file mask, meaning a pattern of characters used to match other files and folder names.
It is worth mentioning that the program is based on RHBVS, another command line tool dedicated for scanning DOS files and targets hybrid malware using the heuristic scan technology from the same developer. According to the latter, the app is very likely to replace RHBVS at some point in the future.
