The main advantage of the application is that it presents more data and details about each process than the system equivalent. The general list of all open processes can be filtered, grouped or refreshed at a given time unit. The entries found can be treated with a double left mouse click to access further details, the possibility of copying the process ID or terminating it.
In the case of this first option, the second tab in the application window opens, presenting a lot of additional, but not necessarily so important, information such as memory usage, location of the executable file, process creation time, and so on. The third tab in the program leads to general information about the system. Overall, Alternate Task Manager can certainly be a decent replacement for the Windows task manager, but the shortcomings in the way information is presented may reject some users.
