Earth Live Sharp is a tool for capturing real-time images of the Earth from Himawari 8, a Japanese weather satellite. The downloaded photos can be set as wallpaper for the desktop of the Windows operating system.
In the Earth Live Sharp settings, we will define the image quality (from 550 by 550 to even 8800 by 8800 pixels), enlarge the wallpaper, adjust the time interval with precision to the minute, and select the image source. The application is relatively easy to use, so both less and more experienced users can use it.
Earth on the computer desktop
Earth Live Sharp can be minimized to the systray where it will run in the background. After some time, it is of course worth checking what photos from the Asia-Pacific region (Himawari 8 is in a geosynchronous orbit over Japan) were saved on our computer's hard drive.
