With the launch of Daydream, Google is moving to make use of its virtual reality solutions, and YouTube VR is just the first of many. The application allows users to look at YouTube videos in virtual reality, even if they weren’t created with that purpose in mind.
For now, until the content creators on YouTube start to make videos that work correctly with Daydream, users will have to settle with the 2D content. With this application, users can watch and browse every video on YouTube, from 3D 360 videos to standard rectangular videos. It’s also possible to see playlists, history, and much more.
Switching between voice and keyboard controls can be done on the fly, so users will have an easy time searching for particular items.
