The what3words app divides the map into small squares, which are defined with the help of three words. Each square is unique, and its coordinates are the same for all users. It doesn’t matter if the location you choose is in the middle of the woods or on a street because each square has a predefined location and word definition.
 
Users can share that location with other people, which ensures the best possible precision. Moreover, more than 20 languages are available, and the addresses and squares are defined differently, in each language.
 
Dividing the map with such precision is useful in various situations, like sharing a meeting place that has no address or remembering where you left your car.
