weMessage is an Android application that enables people to make use of the iMessage platform, along with pretty much all of the features that they would ever need. Read more about weMessage

One of the things that are really missing from the Android platform is something similar with iMessages, although there are some great alternatives out there. One of the coveted Android features is using the iMessage service itself, but that’s something to be sorted between Google and Apple.

In the meantime, developers built weMessage, which allows users with an Android phone to use the iMessage platform. The only problem is that you need a Mac to run a server which reroutes the service onto your Android phone.

If you have this already in place, with weMessage, you’ll get support for group chats, the option to send any kind of attachments, including audio and video, support for reading receipts, and of course AES cryptography for encryption.
