Many of the manufacturers choose to hide or to ignore some of the more common options, but there are ways to bring them forward. For example, getting access to some of the more important switches or hiding them is not permitted.
Let’s say that you don’t like the fact that you can’t hide some of the shortcuts available by default. With the help of the SystemUI Tuner application that should become much easier.
It’s important to know that it might not work on all the available Android variants out there. Also, even if it doesn’t require root access, there is still a need to grant some special permissions over ADB (it can’t be done otherwise). Please keep in mind that the app is experimental and that the “Demo Mode” is still work in progress.
