Vulnerabilities, bugs, and other issues are discovered and patched all the time, in Android and other operating systems, but when something important affects the platforms it usually receives a name as well, not just a number.
This is just the case with the Stagefright vulnerabilities which affect the Android platform. Since there are so many variations of Android on the market, it’s easy to imagine that many of the devices are still exposed
The Stagefright Detector app for Android will test your device, and it will check if it’s vulnerable, which CVEs your device is vulnerable to, and whether you need to update your mobile operating system. There is no easy fix for this problem.
