Sound Meter takes advantage of your device’s built-in microphone to measure sound volumes in your proximity and then shows the data in decibels on a colorful graph. Read more about Sound Meter by Splend Apps

The mobile solution developed by Splend Apps is very easy-to-use and enables you to enjoy its benefits right after installation. Just open it and place your phone or tablet near any noisy object or people to determine their sound levels.
The app starts measuring sound volumes automatically and displays data on an intuitive graph that updates continually based on the information collected from your environment. It also integrates an analog meter whose needle moves left and right to highlight the changing noise.
View the minimum, average and maximum sound levels recorded during the current measurement and tap the “Info” button to discover a series of examples. For instance, the dev team informs that a human whisper has 20 dB while a motorcycle is about 100 dB and an average threshold of pain exceeds 120 decibels.
However, manufacturers tend to align phone microphones to the human voice and, as a result, the software might not register sound levels that surpass 90 decibels.
