The phones and tablets are finally powerful enough to run emulators that can easily duplicate the PlayStation 2 platform, but that’s not easy to do. Since it’s done by third party developers and not by Sony, it takes a really long time to make it work.
Even if the progress is slow with Play!, it doesn’t mean that it’s not going to work. For now, the project is still under heavy development, so you shouldn’t expect games to work correctly. In fact, very few games are actually playable.
At most, you can download, install, and use Play! to get a sense of what’s coming and to see what’s possible with your phone.
