One of the problems with regular backup applications is that users are not able to backup all the app with all the data that they produce. That’s especially true for an instant messaging app, for example, or even for the default SMS app. People don’t need just the application itself, but also the conversations and all the multimedia.
Since oandbackup needs root access, it goes a little bit further than that. The app can also backup systems app, but it can also uninstall them, which is a nice feature. Furthermore, restoring the apps doesn’t require users to reboot the system.
For now, a working installation of busybox is required.
