Messenger Lite: Free Calls & Messages

Facebook already has a Lite version for its application, so it was about time to release a similar version for the Messenger app as well. It’s a cut-down and simplified version that takes a lot less, space, uses fewer hardware resources, and doesn’t need fast internet.
 
The good news is that Messenger Lite works very well with the regular Messenger, so users won’t have any problems sending messages. It works on all networks, but more importantly it can also be used in 2G networks.
 
Also, it’s important to mention that Messenger Lite runs on pretty much any version of Android that’s still available on the market, including the old Gingerbread.
