The developers of MAPS.ME said that all the maps that are available and all of the features are complexly free and thy will remain as such. The application doesn’t require access to the Internet, and it comes with support for driving, walking and cycle navigation, for pretty much the entire world.
Other items such as points of interest or hiking trails are also available, not to mention the fact that you can make hotel reservations straight from the app, or you can share your location on social media.
