Some of the content found online is blocked in various regions, and one way to bypass that uses a VPN service such as Lantern. Even if the developers of this application say that it’s better than a VPN, it’s not really all that different.
The application is very light, and it doesn’t have a lot of options. In fact, users only get a bit button that enables the VPN, and that’s pretty much it. As you can imagine, there is also a premium version that costs money. If you choose the free version, you’ll get some ads and only 800 MB of data at full speed.
Also, the data that’s routed through the VPN is encrypted by default, and that’s always a nice feature to have.
