CrossOver is built by CodeWeavers, the same company that makes Windows apps run on Linux and Mac OS X systems. The technology to make this happen already exists and devices using Intel processors are already powerful enough provide a stable platform.
For now, CrossOver is still in development and users will have to install it on their own risk. In theory, people should be able to run Steam games, utility software like Quicken and Microsoft Office, and all happening at native speeds.
Please keep in mind that CrossOver will not run on devices that don’t have an Intel processor and there’s no play for adapt the technology for another kind of platform.
