Celestia

1.2.3

Celestia is a solution that enables users to explore planets, comets, and stars from our solar system in 3D, identify their current positions, zoom in, move forward or backward in time, and more. Read more about Celestia

The application aims to turn your Android device into a pocket planetarium. It displays simulations of many celestial objects in our solar system within an easy-to-use interface, including 3D models of planets, comets, asteroids, and stars. You are free to navigate around any of these sky bodies and land on their surface virtually.
The initial view is of the Earth, but users can launch the search feature and switch the panorama direction towards the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, or another celestial object. Moreover, they get the chance to work with a digital time machine and observe what changes occur after a few hours or days. Likewise, the mobile solution enables them to zoom in, zoom out, rotate sky bodies, and check their current positions.
Apart from celestial objects, the app includes 3D simulations of various spacecraft, such as Apollo 11, Mars Odyssey, Hubble, and ISS. Users can also configure plenty of settings to their preference, hide specific objects, change the time zone, adjust the render parameters, and much more. As a result, there are enough customization options for any astronomy enthusiast who wants to expand their knowledge of the universe.
