With the BMW Connected application users can extend the use of their car and get some pretty interesting features that wouldn't be available otherwise. The app is smart enough to learn trends and drive patterns, along with frequent destinations and upcoming trips. It also monitors traffic and advises driver when it’s the best time to leave.
Also, if the users have an active BMW ConnectedDrive subscription they will be able to find the last parking spot, send quick messages to family and friends, lock and unlock the car, start up the ventilation system, and much more. For BMW i and iPerformance models it even shows the range of the battery and nearby charging station.
The developer has a couple of caveats. It’s important to know that BMW Connected works best with cars built after 2014, but most of the function should also function for vehicles built before 2013 as well. An Internet connection is required.
