Parents read from regular books to their kids, and they are usually short stories, but Amazon Rapids aims to change that. The developers from Amazon have come up with a new way of telling stories, with the help of illustrations and chat-like interactions.
The stories told with Amazon Rapids usually happened from the perspective of one of the characters, which already makes it quite interesting. The reader is not presented with a wall of text, but with beautiful illustrations and the story unfolds with a chat-like interface.
The application includes hundreds of original stories that have been edited for the appropriate age groups, in features a glossary so that children can look up words and expressions, and there is even a “Read to me” that lets kids follow the text as the text is read aloud.
