Many people have developed a habit of checking their phone a lot of times a day for no good reason. Even so, most of them find it hard to admit that not all those pickups are purposeful. It is true that they check emails, send a message, or read the news first, but numerous factors can distract them during those actions.

Some devices include, by default, a function that monitors phone use and enables people to know how much time they spend with specific apps. Furthermore, users can install various Android tools to control their digital habits, and Acture aims to be one of these solutions. It has the primary purpose of helping people reduce their screen time and make their device usage meaningful.

The app has a minimalist design and requires users to activate the Acture mode when they want to take advantage of its benefits. Afterward, it asks them to specify a reason every time unlocking the phone as well as to set a time reminder. Once those 3 or 10 minutes have passed, the Android tool questions users if they are still doing what planned or got distracted from the original purpose. It, therefore, triggers a sense of guilt to help them break the bad habit.

Users can also tap the dismiss button when unlocking their device and not mention any reason for doing that. However, if filling the form every time, they get the chance to analyze all previous actions.
